Long May Weekend

Victoria Day May 18

Update. I have completed 2 runs in 2015
 The Toronto  Harry Rosen 8K and the Montreal Scotia Bank 5K.
 Happy with my results.

Presently figuring out what is next,
Not sure whether to sign up for Juneathon.
 Late afternoon, did a 5K+ slow run.

Monday May 11

 Yesterday I celebrated my 67 birthday. Quietly. Nice day. I had planned to have supper at a Pizza place -  Woodenheads , this did not work out as it was Mothers Day as well as my Birthday. 
Hoping to have rain check and go later on this week. 

I ran 2 runs in May. The Harry Rosen in Toronto and the Scotia Ban 5k in Montreal. My Plan is to train and run the Army in Ottawa (September20), and probably the Longboat (September13) In Toronto. Both runs are in September.
There is also the Toronto Womens 8K in October 
the Zoo run is September 12 and the Scotia bank Toronto 5k on October18. 

Not sure of the distance.  I am also considering doing the Beaches run in August.  It a training run and this might be a good venture for me. These are ideas and  not commitments. 


I have a long list of other things I need to do. Thinking of changing my training. 

Trying one Yoga class a week and doing a swim once a week. 

Then again, I could decide to stop running and focus on being a cyclist and hiker.

Warm Weather at last

Time to get back to blogging . .
I ran in Montreal 2 weeks ago and decided to take a 2-week rest from running and fitness.
today was the nicest day we have had since last summer. It was 15C and sunny.
I went to Yoga at Artillery Park and a 5k run in my area of the city.

Monday March 9

 Sunny and above zero for the first time in 7 or 8 weeks. 
 Did my run and felt happy. 6.97K. 
It is now 3 weeks  and a few days to the Harry Rosen Run. I need to get organized.  


Yesterday, I went to  the curling club for my class. Three of turned up. However, the class was a good one . 
I have decided to see what curling bonspiels are about. Signed up for one later this month. Cost is $25 and its at a different club. this will also give me a chance to see other  curlers and  another club.

March 3 Tuesday

 March  and we are  still getting winter weather ...   More snow and cold arrived today. ..  The winter of 2014-15 has gotten to  me. I am seriously thinking its time to move to a warmer climate.  Am I up to a major move and is it a good idea?
It is snowing and the temperature is -9C.  Later afternoon, the snow started. ( and its still going at 20:00 hrs. 
 This afternoon's run was one of my better ones in the recent past. I ran in the cold and snow. Ran 9.47K
 I enjoyed the run. 

I  am learning to curl.  I  have been  going to curling sessions since October.  Last Friday, I curled in "real" game. Mixed Seniors League. And  I have been watching Curling on TV. The Briar and  the Scotties.

 Decided to try and stick with it and become a "curler".

Monday March 2

Yesterday  was big.
Early afternoon, I ran 6.28K.  
late afternoon,  I  went over to the Curling club to  practice. my curling delivery. Thru 42 stones. 
Watched  a couple of ends at the Briar  and then  walked home.

I had a busy day. Ran in the late afternoon 6.K +.

 This evening,  I am very tired.
 I   need to think things thru and decide on my goals

Monday June 28, 2018 - Cycling

Weather is  perfect.  24 C .  Warm and sunny. Cycled out to the Military Base and had  a  look at the boats at their yacht club and spent so...
