Very tired

Very tired after yesterdays run.  I managed a very slow run thru the west campus. Distance of 4.9 K.
 Nice sunny afternoon, but i had no energy . I am happy that i got the run done.

National Cupcake Day 

The money from the sale of cupcakes provides support for the  SPCA in Ontario. 
 ( a cause very close to my heart).
Late afternoon, decided to run to Pan Chanco and buy cup cakes. 
Very happy with my run  8.8K. and got there in time to purchase the last 2 cup cakes.

Happy Day Feb.20

Canada 'sWomens hockey team won gold at Sochi.  
Very impressed how they never gave up. Came from being down by 2 goals to win in overtime 3-2. 
Marie Helene Poulin knows how to score goals. Very happy for the team. 

The win got me pumped up and i ran 8.8 K run.  Route had 3 or 4 good Hills and the sidewalks were
wet and icey and i had to watch my footing. 
 Happy with the distance, i want to focus on long slow runs  and do some body strength exercises.

Blog Mischief

 It seems someone has infected my Blog with a virus . this virus has added a very long list of blogs to the list that i read .  This is very upsetting to me. 
The person  who has caused this mischief  is rotten. 

I did a 7.8K run today. If the add on list is still here tomorrow , this will be my last post.

Feb. 16 Sunday

Did a 6.5K run in the late afternoon. temp. -11C. happy that I did the run. 
I think i have (had hopefully-) a case  of the February Blues.  The winter has been long and cold and there is still approx, one more month to go. Tomorrow is a provincial holiday (family Day) and everything is closed. 

i need to take my training more seriously. get a proper plan.  Rather than just putting in runs.

Feb 15 back at it

Took a   3-4 day hiatus from running. the layoff  was probably too long.  Iwas tired the first 3K of my 5.45K run this afternoon. Got to get back at my training and start putting in the distance and work on my overall strength and fitness.
Cooked a roast chicken for supper,  and despite the fact I did not have a meat thermometer, it was okay.
 Bored with the Olympics. Not a fan of Canada.  Not sure why .  And i must add that I do not like the Yanks at all.
I do like some of the European athletes. especially the Scandinavians.

Monday Feb 10

Ran a new route, via SLC to Lake Ontario Park entrance. 8.3K .
Thought I had run longer. (I was hoping for 10K). Thw route was  strenuous  due to hills and snow on the sidewalks.  And fatigue from yesterdays 8K run. 

On the good side, I have done  longer runs  ,( 8K runs)  two days in a row

Lunch time - Went to Starbucks on Upper Princess  for a coffee and a snack and later stopped in at Running Room to look at Garmin watches. 
Think i like the black one  (had been eying the purple one online). at $140 plus taxes. Also peeked at shoes - the Mizuno Wave Rider 17 and the Adidas Glide. okay like them lots... 
Taking a day or so to think on things.

Feb.9 LSD

Ran in the late afternoon.(16:30). light snow all day. the roads and paths  jogged/ran required a little extra leg work. 

Happy with my run. 8.7 K. Ran through Portsmouth Harbor. Like this area  in summer and in winter.
My goal today was to increase my distance. 
Earlier, I walked over to Tim Hortons at the ARC  and had a coffee and muffin. interested in the women's.biathlon at Sochi. Norway, Germany , and Slovenia have some great skiers and good shooters. 
Time to feed Tuffie and cook supper.

Not a good day. Lots of problems in the apt. building where i live. 
2 dogs that bark,  - the owners are bums, the guy next door to me slams his door. - So hard that it vibrates and Tuffie, my cat is scared. The Super is lazy..  

But i did put in a decent run - 7.8K

After a rest day yesterday, I  managed to push myself to get outside and do a Run. 
5.10K . felt okay, not easy running as there is a fair amount of snow and ice on the sidewalks and roads.
Olympics have started in Sochi. Hoping to follow Womens Hockey and XC ski & Biathlon- Men and Women .

Feb o1 Saturday

Janathon finished yesterday.
First day in a month when i could focus on doing "stuff"?

This morning Walked to Chapters to pick up a book i had ordered.
Late afternoon , jogged to the Bank Via a loop  run=3.29K
and this evening walked to the Screening Room to see a movie.
Inside Llewyn Davis.The movie was better than good, but not great.
 Total walk for today 15.8K
 tired. looking forward to watching the super bowl and the ads/
like both teams .

Monday June 28, 2018 - Cycling

Weather is  perfect.  24 C .  Warm and sunny. Cycled out to the Military Base and had  a  look at the boats at their yacht club and spent so...
